food is the most important thing. Since we are having the meeting at Steve's place, everyone is welcome to bring something to nosh on. Ellyn has something in the works but I can't decide whether to make Strawberry Marzipan Muffins or Sour Cream Apple Pie. Any votes? I will be bringing sangria to officially say good-bye to summer.

So one of these days I may actually be able to attend one of these things. For now, I say Strawberry Pie, just to piss Steve off. :-P
It can't be any worse than the Honey Cheese Pie I made last night. Cottage cheese does not make a cheesecake.
I hope this comment is actually posted. I seem to have "cracked the code" for using the blog. Now you all can enjoy my words of wisdom. Book Club was great, thank you steve for hosting. Nothing wrong with pizza, beer, and sangria. Oh and some fine apple pie. Did we say Oct 25 for next month? The Painted Bird; a brave suggestion Susan. (I think you should be prepared to take some heat for it. Didn't we already have enough sex jokes?)

You think 30 minutes is enough? I mean if Steve and Paul and Damon all get started on it they could go all night!!! Maybe we'd better read the book first and decide how much time should be dedicated to smut. Yum-o?
I agree with ellen that the book club last saturday was great! i enjoyed the spirit of the conversation and the return of paul. and ellen, feel free to bring that chip dip any time...i will make my special rice and chicken salad for next time. did we agree on a time for the 25th? I suggest 4 like the last one if we didn't decide.
